Meet Solid Ground Consulting 

Andreu Ferrero was born in Ashland Oregon to geologist parents in 1983. He spent a majority of his childhood living at mining camps and in national forests while his parents conducted geologic and biodiversity surveys of rural Northern California and Southern Oregon. During his teens and twenties, Andreu worked as a wildland firefighter, on drilling rigs, and for an excavation company. Learning about geology and construction during his youth, Andreu pursued an Engineering degree in his mid twenties, earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Masters of Engineering with a focus on Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from Portland State University. Andreu started his engineering career working for a West Coast based engineering consulting firm where he earned his Professional Engineering credentials. Continuing his career, Andreu worked with geotechnical and civil industry manufacturers by providing his engineering expertise as a Technical Manager supporting the engineers and contractors that specified and installed materials. Andreu has published multiple papers regarding soil stabilization, and is a member of and serves on committees in the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Deep foundations Institute, and works with Universities across the U.S. as a mentor to graduate and post graduate students.

In his spare time Andreu enjoys spending time with his wife and family, rock climbing, and many winter sports.
